Back in 2001 Captive View (a Digital View joint venture) launched a washroom media product called the Viewrinal, an LCD display built into a urinal. The Viewrinal was successfully installed in a number of venues, most notably a few nightclubs in London, UK, and also caught some good media attention. Captive View was sold during 2003 and since then the concept has resurfaced many times with other companies – most recently with Sega and their Toylets, see http://toylets.sega.jp/

One of the custom options Digital View provide for their pro-AV and digital signage displays is a choice of bezel colors. As shown in the pictures below they look fantastic and can also lend real branding emphasis in retail signage installations.

A quick review of the latest DV Signage software versions:

• DV Studio 2: The current version is v2.07, posted 8 March 2012. This added support for VS-505 and VS-700 media players. 
• DV Studio Lite: The current version is v0.16(beta), posted in October 2011. A new version is pending final testing and likely to be released within March.
• DV Message Board: The current version is v1.1, posted 29 February 2012. 
• DV Media Converter: The current version is v1.08, posted October 2011. 

The above are suitable for the DV Signage media-players: ViewStream 300, ViewStream 505, ViewStream 500, ViewStream 700.

Roger Dubois is a watch retail outlet in Hong Kong - they created this very upscale casino type shop interior with 16 ViewStream media players to create a display wall.

The Hong Kong Heritage Museum kindly sent over some photos of recent installations using Digital View VideoStream media players and VideoFlyers.

Enter the message, the event details, the daily specials, the meeting room allocation, the welcome message - then press Deploy. Message Board is designed to look great with the minimum of effort. 

It is template driven with some great backgrounds for download in the Content Gallery Message Board section as mentioned in an earlier post or you can use your own. 

Message Board is designed for the ViewStream 500 Series and ViewStream 700 media player and related VideoFlyer media-display systems.
